Hello Friend
Going through the adoption process (twice) I know how hard it is to find help and support from someone (anyone!) who GETS IT. It is frustrating AF to find pre-and post-adoption products and services that makes sense for your trans-racial adopted family. I know, because I couldn’t find any beautiful, thoughtful, affordale products in South Africa that helps make the adoption process (and the wonderfully unique family life thereafter) just a bit easiers, fun and special. So I decided to make my own and invite you along on the journey! Come check out the shop and don’t forget to grab your free downloads as well! Then come say hi on Facebook and Instagram, I’d love to get to know you.
The Mama (Heart) Behind The Business.

Hey there, I’m Charlotte
Most days you can find me in a comfy (yet super sculpting) pair of Spanx leggings. I’m mostly known as the fierce mama of my equally fierce chocolate girls, Zion and Zarah. I love serving the world by creating beautiful things that make adoptive mamas’ lives and adoption journey easier, their homes more beautiful and their hearts happier.
The things I am most passionate about in life are Jesus’ Kingdom, seeing children get to their forever families, and chocolate chip cookies, ofcourse!
I create products for mamas who wish they could also enjoy and incorporate the beautiful pregnancy and baby products into their journey, but because their journey to motherhood looks a bit different (and apparently the only lovely and relevant items are all the way in America) the struggle is REAL.
I’m lucky and so blessed to have become a mamma through the wonderful process of adoption (twice!) and I am honoured to remind mamas, who are on the same journey as me, that our journey is just as valid, just as magical and beautiful, and so worthy of capturing, commemorating and celebrating with beautiful things that make sense for our families!
When I’m not busy working on Rae & Reign you can catch me reading about or watching a documentary about gender and social justice, or binging Friends episodes (could I be any cooler? Lol! )
If you’re dying to hear more, here are five things you might not know about me.
- When I laugh I don’t make a single sound, like absolutely nothing for as long as my breath allows and then a gasp mingled with a laugh escapes.
- I’m obsessed with stationary and notebooks, like nothing (except maybe chocolate chip cookies) brings me as much joy as shopping for pens, highlighters, and books!
- I make up a lot of songs about inanimate objects.
I can be a little bit radical sometimes. Especially in my pursuit to find solutions to long-drawn out problems.
- I used to work as a nude drawing model for fine art students at a university. My way of getting over my body issues. See? I told you I can be just a tiny bit radical.
Still here? Let’s connect! Join the tribe or head over to Facebook or Insta and come say hello. That’s where I hang out every day and I’d love to meet you there.
With Lots of Love

The Village

I truly believe we’re not raising children for ourselves but that we’re raising the next generation of world changers, solution bringers, and justice warriors. A tall order, I know! These little world changers come into this world already uniquely equipped for their specific calling and destiny but they need safety, love, careful nurturing, opportunities and a whole lot of cheer-leading to grow into who they are meant to be. The truth is that these needs are only met in families.
Therefore I am committed to donate 5% of every single Rae & Reign purchase to organizations who are on the front-lines, fighting for every child in South Africa to be placed in their forever families.
The orphan crisis in South Africa gave rise to some pretty massive needs, it’s true, but it has also given rise to many faithful and amazing organizations who are standing in the gap and adding their strength, skill, and resources to the cause. I will periodically change the beneficiaries of these donations to ensure we support organizations who labour in all the different spheres.
So when you make your purchase come and check out this page to see where your money will be making a difference.
Today your purchase will support Gabriels Heart Adoption Fund.
The Fund is a platform to educate and encourage more adoptions in South Africa and provide financial assistance by funding or co-funding adoptions. Although countless adoption funds exist globally this is the first fund of its kind in South Africa. Visit their Facebook and Instagram Pages to find out more about this great organization.

Ubuntu, White People and Cultural Appropriation.
I’ve been invited to be part of the “Us dialogue: Conversations in pursuit of Ubuntu in South Africa”, hosted by Authoric this Saturday. Which got me thinking more about the concept of Ubuntu. How does this philosophy physically show up in my life and parenting? What...
